Accomplishments:

RE OPENED the 5th Police PCT
Secured funding for Police Activity League Programs in Elmont and Valley Stream
Implemented Body Camera and Shot spotter program and Secured funding for License plate readers for police cars and secured funding for Several Auxiliary Police vehicles in our community
Expanded eligibility for senior citizens and disabled for property tax reductions and tax relief
First County Legislator to record how to challenge your property tax assessment and place it on youtube and also provided free legal workshops for seniors to help them grieve their property tax assessment
Championed the increase of the NY State Minimum wage to $15 and asking for additional increase in order to curb inflation for wage workers.
Installed new traffic light intersections in Elmont and Valley Stream including exit 25B off of the Cross Island/Belt Parkway, Diamond Road and Dutch Broadway and traffic light in front of senior citizen community Dutchgate on Dutch Broadway in N. Valley Stream
Guaranteed and delivered on funding for repavement of several county roads including Central Ave in Valley Stream, Dutch Broadway in Elmont and N. Valley Stream and coming soon Linden Blvd in Elmont
Resolved thousands of community/constituent concerns
Conducted and held community meetings on public safety, housing, employment, health fairs and more.....

Issues I am working on:

Construction of Community Center. I have secured millions in the capital budget for the construction and design of a community center
Speed Humps: Working with the Town and Village and have secured funding for Speed Humps on roads with high speeding and accident history
Elimination of Daily parking fee for Elmont residents at UBS LIRR Elmont parking lot.
Securing Federal Infrastructure Funding and making sure the County Executive uses it for improving sewer and road infrastructure
I am working on is advocating to Port Authority to Change Airplane Pathways over Elmont and Valley Stream
Asking for overhaul property tax assessment system in Nassau County and state bailout of assessment systems and unfreezing of property tax assessment roll

Carriè secured more funding for police officers in the POP unit , community affairs and homeland security and added a PAL (police activity league ) to/for Elmont.
He also added more officers for UBS arena to address community concerns
